Tutor application

Step 1 — About you and your teaching profile

Select any subjects and languages you would like to teach. No assessments are required. Completed tutor profiles are approved and published automatically. Being approved does not mean identity, background, or qualifications have been verified.

Your profile photo and biography appear on your public page. CV and identity documents are private.

Complete your biography, photo, introduction video and teaching subjects. Your details will be saved when you click Activate tutor profile at the very end.

Upload a clear photo of yourself. Your photo will appear on your public tutor profile after publication. If you already saved a photo, you can keep it or upload a replacement.

A profile photo is required before you can save your first professional profile.

Record a friendly 15–90 second introduction, spoken entirely in English. Say your name, what you teach, and how you help students learn. Record directly on BrightBridge or upload an MP4, MOV or WebM video (maximum 35 MB). It will appear on your public tutor profile after activation.

Choose your introduction video before activating your tutor profile.

Run a sound check after choosing your video. The check looks for loud background sound, low volume, and long silent sections.

Record in a quiet indoor space, with no music, television, conversations, or noisy fans. Speak clearly, close to your microphone.

Step 2 — Final application details

Complete the remaining fields. The final Submit button saves your professional profile. Completed profiles are approved and published automatically.

Your biography, photo, introduction video, subjects and application information are all saved together when you click the final button. Completed profiles activate automatically.

We save this in your account location settings so lesson availability uses the correct local time.

Cancel more than 24 hours before a lesson to retain eligible credit. If you miss a scheduled class, the tutor waits 15 minutes before leaving and an eligible unused package credit carries over after attendance checks, normally beginning 24 hours after the lesson ends. No additional automatic no-show charge applies. Read lesson policy.

Sandbox automatic finalization (Owner only)

Simulated only. Routine ended lessons with a confirmed Sandbox prepayment, no attendance anomalies, and ≥95% observed shared connection coverage may finalize automatically. This is not independently verified teaching time or a real tutor payout. Other lessons remain in your reconciliation/review queue.

15-minute no-show review (test only)

Flags require investigation. Do not impose fees based on self-reported check-ins.
